Description and Technical Specifications

Device Selection:
Menu driven device selection using full manufacturers part name or selectable manufacturers electronic ID to verify that the correct device is in the socket.

Device Checks:
Connect test, Reverse/faulty part test, bit check, empty check, verify, marginal verify.

Automatic Program Sequence:
To manufacturers certified specification but can be modified to user selectable pre-program and post program checks plus post program software protection (device dependant).

Bit Modes:
8, 16, 32 bit modes: automatically handled by "Interlace 2" Stag's unique method of splitting and shuffling data without the intervention of the user.

Remote Control:
Conforms to the Stag protocol. In remote all the parameters of the programmer can be controlled from the computer. Software is supplied to control the P301 from DOS or Windows. Software for Windows 95 is available.

Device Support
EPROM's, EEPROM's, FLASH, CMOS PROMS, Serial to 8Mbit. Dip packages in 8, 24, 28, 32 pins with 0.3" and 0.6 pitch. PLCC, SOIC, & TSOP adaptors available. Device Library stored in internal non-volatile FLASH memory. Fully updatable.

Memory
1 Mbit fitted as standard. Expandable to 4 Mbit or 8Mbit. RAM is battery backed if the battery option is fitted.
Devices are programmed in blocks if the RAM fitted is smaller than the device.

Local interface
Display: 20 x 4 character alphanumeric reflective super twistLCD. Keypad: Silicon rubber, tactile 23 keys including dedicated program and cursor buttons.

I/O Port
9 pin D-type RS232, with up to 115K2 baud rate. All popular I/O formats are supported including ASCII hex space, binary, binary rubout, Intel 16 and 32 bit, Motorola S Record, Stag Binary, Stag Hex, Tek-Hex, Extended Tek-Hex.
